Give Big is upon us!

Dear Friends of Extreme History,

We’re getting ready for Give Big Gallatin Valley, happening April 30 at 6pm through May 1 at 6pm.

This year is especially impactful: Give Big is 100% fee-free, which means every dollar you give goes directly to the causes you care about, including Extreme History.

For Give Big 2026, we’re raising funds to support two important initiatives:

Our Extreme History Summer Internship Program

Each summer, we hire an intern who works alongside our team on walking tours, lecture series, workshops, and day-to-day operations. It’s a hands-on opportunity for a history student to learn how a public history nonprofit really works and in turn, they help us expand and strengthen our programs.

New Walking Tours

We’re also developing three new walking tours, and your support helps make that possible. Donations go toward staff research time, historic photograph use fees, and supporting our incredible tour guides who bring these stories to life.

We’re also excited to share that we have a $3,500 matching gift this year. That means your donation can go twice as far—but only until the match is met.

Give early to double your impact and help us reach our goal.

If you’ve ever joined a tour, attended a program, or simply believe that history should be engaging, accessible, and rooted in real stories—this is a meaningful way to support that work.

Here is our Give Big donation link, and we hope you’ll consider giving during this special 24-hour event.

We are also hosting walking tours on FRIDAY, MAY 1st.

All tours start at 122 E. Main in front of Moka Boutique, here’s the schedule.

Noon – Back Alleys and Ghost Signs with Julia

1pm – Main Street Saloons with Gary

2pm – Bricks, Bricks, Bricks with Lesley

3pm – Samuel Lewis with Crystal

4pm – Historic Chinese Community with Jen

Thank you for being part of our community and for helping us keep history alive in meaningful and engaging ways.

With Gratitude,

Crystal Alegria and Team Extreme
